I just read that Kaka Bhaniawala has passed away. . Apparently he was in a hospital in Ludhiana undergoing treatment for liver problems. He is best known for his track “Daru Pee Key”. He had a very “rural” voice that was often compared to Lehmber Hussainpuri’s. This is a great loss for punjabi music fans all over the world. My he R.I.P and his family have the courage to carry on without him.
Hell everyone. I just enabled a new feature on SaddeGeet.com. You already had an option to see who were the recent visitors to your profile. Now I have made it better. You will be able to see WHEN your profile was viewed by someone. Just go to the Dashboard. Click on ‘Profile Visitors’. Then hover your mouse over the visitor’s picture and you will see their name and the time when they viewed your profile.
Hi everyone. I have just added a new feature to SaddeGeet.com dashboard. This feature will allow you to ignore some members on the site. If you do not want a member to be able to send you a message; just add their name to your ignore list. This way; that member can see your profile but they can not send you a message. This option is available in the Dashboard.

Where do I start? 2008 was a great year for SaddeGeet.com. The site has come a great way since I first started it in Oct 2006. SaddeGeet.com launched as a punjabi music video site. At that time; it was one of the first ones (only??) to offer a easy to browse collection of punjabi music videos. Ofcourse; youtube was always there; but SaddeGeet.com was your place to go for Punjabi Music Videos. Oh Na Kuri Labdi was the first music video that I added to the site. In 2007; I just kept on adding more and more videos. I believe we had over 500 videos by end of 2007. Towards the end of 2007; I noticed that lots of people were coming to the site and talking to each other by leaving comments on Videos. This came me the idea to add a members section to the site. 
It was in 2008 that SaddeGeet.com really came into its own. 2008, SaddeGeet.com became one of the most popular sites on the internet for punjabiz to gather and talk amongs each other. Let me just give you some numbers about 2008.
Hi eveyrone. Hope you had a merry xmas. I just launched the new SG Dashboard today. I hope you like it. There are a few things that are little different with this one. The main goal was to have everything organize and give you easy access to thing that you are most intrested in. When you first log in; right away you will see Recent profile visitors and Your online friends. This will let you know who has been checking out your profile; and which of your friends are online.
Now; lets focus on the left hand menu. The main thing to focus on here is ‘Messages’, ‘Read bulletins’ and ‘Friends online’. These 3 things have a number next to them. For example; if you have 4 new messages; it will say ‘Messages (4)’. It will also show you how many unread bulletins you have. For the friends box; it wil show you the number of friends that are online. You can click on each one of these boxes to view more detail.
The last new thing to focus on is the ‘red spinning circle’ at the bottom of left hand menu. Click on this will do 3 things.

Hi guys. Hope everyone had a good thanksgiving break and enjoyed the home cookings. I just wanted to let you guys know that I will be deleting inactive memberships from the site in a few days. There are some accounts that have not logged in the past 6 months. Those accounts will be deleted.
This will only affect people who have not logged in since June 2008. Let me know if you have any questions.

I had some free time in the evening so I implemented a new feature to SaddeGeet. Some members have been asking for this one. Have you ever wondered who is looking at your profile? Well; now you can easily find that information on your Dashboard. After you log in; you will be shown the recent members who visited your profile. As an added bonus; each time you refresh to get new comments/bulletins; the ‘Recent Visitor’ list also refreshes.

As you know; I added a new feature to SaddeGeet.com a few weeks ago that allows you to write a message on your profile that lets others know what you are up to. This message is also shown on the Latest Updates page. Now there is an option to add smileys into this message. You will have to use the smiley codes. These codes are the same ones that you use when you are sending a comment/bulletin. Here are some common ones.

Ever since I added the new membership system on SaddeGeet; people have been asking for the option to change their username. I have been resisting that option from the start. I think if you chose a username; then you should be known by that username. It will get confusing i’m called personA one day and then personB next day. You won’t know who you are talking to that way. Having said that; I have added a new option to SaddeGeet today.
This option will allow you to update the casing of your username. For example; if you username is SaddeGeet; you can change it to saddegeet or SADDEGEET or saddeGEET. You get the idea. This option is available from your dashboard. Let me know what you think.
Today I will be talking about the profile privacy options that are available on SaddeGeet.com. Once you log in to your dashboard; click on the ‘Profile Privacy’ link.
Privacy Options on Dashboard
This will take you to a page that lets you set up your privacy options. By default; anyone is able to view your profile and send you comments. You can change it so that only people who log in can see your profile and send you comments. If you only want to receive comments from your friends; then that option is available for you as well.

This way; if someone is sending you bad comments (using bad language for example); you can just go ahead and change your profile privacy options so that only your friends can send you comments. If you have any questions; email me or leave me a comment. My profile is open to everyone
